MFPNW Camp 2011 Recap
The Muslim Forum of the Pacific Northwest Camp is a chance for families, friends, and the leaders of the Muslim community to join in an enlightening experience. Fellow Muslims across the Pacific Northwest have been attending the MFPNW camp for four years now, with the goal of unifying our communities, while in a relaxed environment.
The 2011 Camp was held from June 17th to 19th, in the Lazy F Campsite in Ellensburg, WA. Attendees came from locations across the Northwest, all the way from Mukilteo, WA to Boise, ID. The camp was blessed with the presence of several dynamic and knowledgeable speakers, Imam Mohamad Joban (internationally renowned scholar and Imam of MAPS Redmond), Sheikh Mohammed Abdel Wakeel (Al-Azhar scholar and Imam of Islamic Center of Yakima), and our keynote speaker Dr. Sayyid M. Syeed (National Director of ISNA Interfaith Alliances, former ISNA General Secretary).
