Proposed Mission and Programs
Possible
The Forum’s mission is to foster cooperation and support among
Muslims in the Pacific Northwest (Cooperate with one another in goodness
and piety. Qur’an 5:2), to promote broad understanding of Islam and
Muslims (We have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one
another. Qur’an 49:13), and to facilitate the development of a unified
Muslim leadership that represents the Muslims in the Pacific Northwest
(Hold fast, all of you together, to the rope of Allah, and do not
separate. Qur’an 3:103).
Possible Programs
- Fostering cooperation and exchange of
experiences and ideas among our communities
- Sponsoring joint cultural and social events
- Coordinating community outreach and dacwa programs
- Building regional networks of Muslim community
leaders, scholars, professionals, and public speakers.
- Participating in local and global humanitarian
and relief efforts
Possible Activities
- Regional workshops, conferences, seminars, and
other educational events for
Muslim and non-Muslim audiences
- Joint sports activities, youth camps, and
other outdoor activities
- Maintaining a website to promote activities of
the forum as well as the activities of our communities, and to
