Muslim Forum of the Pacific Northwest

bismillah

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Welcome to the Muslim Forum of the Pacific Northwest Project. The project is an initiative by a group of concerned Muslims to bring together Muslim leaders from the various Muslim communities in the Pacific Northwest to discuss the establishment of an umbrella organization for the purpose of promoting cooperation among such communities.

Plans are ongoing for holding a leadership conference which we hope to include representatives from all mosques and other Muslim organizations in the Pacific Northwest. The conference will discuss the merits of the proposed organization and collectively develop its mission, objectives and possible programs.

The Steering Committee has reserved the Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center near Ellensburg, Washington for the planned conference. The conference starts on the evening of Friday (10/31/08) and concludes around noon on Sunday (11/2/08). The details of the program and the registration information are posted on this web site.

You can find more information on the evolution of this proposal and its proposed mission and objectives by going to the “About” and “Mission” tabs on the left. Upon reviewing the information, you may direct any questions, comments, or suggestions to the Steering Committee. If you’re part of the leadership in your community or organization, please also take a moment to complete the registration form to help the steering committee plan for a successful event in-sha'-Allah!
